Stress-Free Travel  Planning,
All in One Place – Introducing My Companion

This is the first independent app project for my developer and me, and we wanted to create something genuinely useful while staying within realistic design and development limits. By keeping the app minimal and focused, we’re ensuring that it remains intuitive, easy to use, and achievable as our goal is to either launch it on the play store or ideally for IOS .

The Challenge

People struggle to keep their travel plans organised. Tickets, itineraries, and important details are often scattered across multiple apps, camera rolls, and notes, leading to frustration and stress while traveling.

The solution

My Companion is an easy-to-use, offline-friendly app that keeps everything in one place. It allows travelers to:

  • Store itinerary details in a structured way.
  • Keep tickets, confirmation emails, and important notes together.
  • Access everything offline—no internet required.

User Personas: Alan & Sophie

Sophie and Alan both have different approaches to travel planning but face similar frustrations when it comes to staying organised. Sophie, a busy young professional, loves to travel but struggles to manage her trip details across multiple apps. She ends up using notes for itineraries, her camera roll for tickets, and a calendar for reminders, which can be overwhelming. She’s looking for a simple solution to keep all her travel plans in one place. Alan, on the other hand, is a tech-savvy professional who prefers not to deal with the planning side of things and often leaves it to his wife. However, he finds that most travel apps are too complicated and difficult to navigate. What he needs is an easy-to-use app to store all his trip information—flights, hotels, activities—in one place, without any unnecessary clutter. Both Sophie and Alan need a way to access their trip details quickly and easily, without the hassle. This project aims to create an app that simplifies travel planning and helps them stay organised with minimal effort.
